The World Traveler

Ismenia's spirit of adventure has led her to over thirty countries, some professional-related, some recreational, some a nice blend of both. Highlights include a honeymoon in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a cruise exploring the Mediterranean, and seeing with her own eyes an indented rock upon which John the Revelator laid his head on the isle of Patmos.

The Professor

Professor deSouza attained her Masters in Hispanic Studies & Education at Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. She attained her Ph.D. in Romance Languages at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In 2008 she became a professor of Portuguese and Spanish at the United States Air Force Academy. Dr. deSouza travels the globe presenting her many published papers at universities and conferences.

Soon after marrying, Geraldo and Ismenia would welcome their firstborn into the world, Patricia. Over the next few years they would also welcome Lesley and Junior.
